Imagine a person whose life has been turned upside down due to a severe injury sustained during military action. In such cases, our volunteer doctors don't leave their fellow soldiers in the lurch. One of the projects in which we are actively involved is restoring visual function to those who have suffered and lost part of their vision as a result of war injuries. The methods developed by our experts help restore people's hope for a bright future. Through innovative techniques and years of experience, our doctors help patients regain visual function, giving them the opportunity to improve their quality of life after their ordeal.
Recently, our volunteer doctors helped a military man who suffered from a severe CNS contusion and was experiencing residual effects in the form of convergent paralytic strabismus. Using a method developed by our expert Sergey Gavrilyuk, the patient was able to achieve a stable and level eye position. The technique based on combined myorelaxation of the inner rectus muscle using botulinum toxin type A has shown high efficiency and may be useful for many who face similar problems.
